Pinnacle 21

To uninstall Pinnacle 21 Community, follow the steps below:

1. On Windows 8:
 1. Click Start
 2. Click Apps
 3. Click Control Panel
 4. Click Uninstall a program
2. On Windows 10
 1. Click Start
 2. Click Settings
 3. Click System
 4. Click Apps &amp; Features
3. On Windows 11
 1. Click Start
 2. Type and open Add or remove programs

Select Pinnacle 21 Community from the application list.

1. Launch the Add/Remove Programs utility.
 1. On Windows 8:
 1. Click Start
 2. Click Apps
 3. Click Control Panel
 4. Click Uninstall a program
 2. On Windows 10
 1. Click Start
 2. Click Settings
 3. Click System
 4. Click Apps &amp; Features
 3. On Windows 11
 1. Click Start
 2. Type and open Add or remove programs
2. Select Pinnacle 21 Community from the application list.
3. Click Uninstall

Try the following steps in order to get Pinnacle 21 Community v3.0.x and earlier uninstalled. These instructions will not work with Community v3.1.x and later because of the added ability to customize installation paths.

Install the latest version of Pinnacle 21 Community and try the steps listed above again

1. Download the uninstall troubleshooting zip folder <a href="https://www.pinnacle21.com/sites/default/files/downloads/CommunityUninstall.zip" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">here</a>
2. Unzip the download
3. Double click the P21CommunityUninstall.bat file which will force the removal of files. This can leave shortcuts to the application that can be cleaned up manually.
4. For a full uninstall, run the CompleteUninstall/forceCompleteCommunityUninstall.bat file which will force the removal of all Community related files. This can leave shortcuts to the application that can be cleaned up manually. WARNING: This will remove all Community files. Any customization or configuration will be lost such as imported Dictionaries.
5. The final option is to manually delete the following folders
 1. "%UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Pinnacle 21 Community"
 2. "%UserProfile%\AppData\Local\pinnacle21-community-updater"
 3. "%UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Programs\pinnacle21-community"
 4. "%UserProfile%\AppData\Roaming\Pinnacle 21 Community"
 5. "%UserProfile%\Documents\Pinnacle 21 Community"

1. Install the latest version of Pinnacle 21 Community and try the steps listed above again
2. Force the uninstall

 5. "%UserProfile%\Documents\Pinnacle 21 Community"

Drag the Pinnacle 21 Community file from Applications to the Trash.

1. Close Pinnacle 21 Community.
2. Drag the Pinnacle 21 Community file from Applications to the Trash.
